Mackenzie Elementary is fortunate to have a very active group of parents which form its PAC (Parent Advisory Committee).  All parents of Mackenzie are welcome to be part of the PAC, and are welcome to attend our monthly meetings (with free childcare) from

6:30-7:45pm on the LAST Wednesday of the month from October – May. 

 

Attending PAC meetings allows you to find out more about what is happening at Mackenzie, helps create/enhance your relationship with the school executive and the active parent community, and allows us a group to provide input to the school as to our priorities for goals, projects and funding initiatives.  As part of the things we do, the PAC works together on fundraising activities for new technology, sports equipment, playgrounds (3 new ones were put in between 2005-2012), special programs (dance, Project Chef, Vancouver Aquarium on site, etc.), special field trips, and so on.  We also just help make cool things happen for Mackenzie kids, including Pizza Days, Book Fairs, Bake Sale on Sports Day, School t-shirts and hoodies, and more.

In addition to the items listed above, parents at Mackenzie help raise funds for projects at school through activities like the silent auction, school walkathon, and movie nights!
