Munch a Lunch is back!
Ordering is now open! Order by Sept 29 for lunch on Oct 6.
Mackenzie PAC is happy to announce that we are offering hot lunch on Fridays for the Fall Term starting on October 6th. Munch-a-lunch is a program offered by the PAC providing parents the option to order hot lunch delivered to students. This is a popular fundraiser which is volunteer-run by parents.
We have opened the month of October for ordering and will open November and December soon.
All menu items meet the BC nutritional guidelines for school lunches.

ORDERING INFORMATION:
-
Online ordering will be OPEN for Fall Term on Sept 25. We will open November and December menus in early October. Stay tuned!
-
The first order is due on Friday, Sept 29 at midnight for lunch on Oct 6.
-
All orders must be paid in full and submitted 2 weeks in advance for our vendors. This means you need to order the week before the actual lunch date, i.e. Mondays are cut off for the following Friday.
-
Once orders are processed there is NO cancellation option. Unfortunately, it's not possible to order after deadline dates.
-
MunchaLunch works with Stripe (as the credit card payment processor) so parents can pay online using their credit card or debit-credit card. It’s fast, easy, and secure. Orders are placed separately for each child but the ‘payment due’ is presented as a lump-sum.
-
If children are sick/absent we can offer a sibling/parent pick up from the office, otherwise please consider it a donation. If you need assistance with ordering, contact Hot Lunch Coordinator at mackenzielunch@gmail.com.
Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed
Our ability to deliver hot lunches to students depends on our volunteer capacity! Consider volunteering to hand out hot lunches to classes. Whether you can commit to one, one-hour volunteer shift in a year, or more than that - all support from our parent community is valued.
About volunteering for hot lunches:
-
Hot Lunch volunteer commitment for the Fall Term is Fridays from 11:15-11:45 am
-
You can volunteer for as many (or few) hot lunches as you’d like! Signing up to help out with one hot lunch doesn’t obligate you to help with others and we’re happy to have any and all support in delivering lunches.
-
Please contact the volunteer coordinator if you have questions at mackenzievolunteers@gmail.com
Volunteer Orientations:
Once you have completed the 45-minute volunteer orientation through the school, you will be able to sign up for one or multiple shifts using the hot lunch platform. Volunteer orientations are held by the school at least twice a year.
Please get in touch with Mackenzie administration at studentrecordsmackenzie@vsb.bc.ca if you have inquiries about volunteer orientations.
If you have already completed the volunteer orientation:
You will need to sign a form each new school year, so that your orientation remains valid.
To do so:
-
Email the school at studentrecordsmackenzie@vsb.bc.ca and let them know you’ve taken the orientation and would like to sign the form.
-
In the email, provide your child’s name and division and the school will send home a form with your child for you to sign and return.
-
You can return the form with your child to their teacher. Once you have returned the form to your child’s teacher, please contact mackenzievolunteers@gmail.com to let them know you are available to volunteer.
